ARE WE ON TRACK TO REACH 80X50?

To find out, join us on October 17 for A Milemarker on the Way to 80x50. Urban Green, the Mayor's Office of Sustainability and the NYU Center for Urban Science and Progress have analyzed six years of benchmarking and audit data collected under Local Laws 84 and 87 for our upcoming New York City Energy and Water Use Report.

In anticipation of the release of the report, this event will explore the amount of energy and water used by NYC buildings, as well as how they’re using it. You'll hear from experts about our key findings, which touch on city-led programs, cooling technologies and heating and hot water systems.

THE NEW YORKIFICATION OF SOLAR

More than any other form of power generation, solar has been shaped by the creativity and input of a wide range of players. In NYC, the ability to customize solar has been particularly useful, given that traditional models for implementation don't work well in a complex, dense, urban setting.

Clean energy advocate Chris Neidl explains.

To learn more about this trend, join us for The New Yorkification of Solar on October 18.
