AS MANY QUESTIONS AS THERE ARE BUILDINGS

When it comes to the electrification of NYC's buildings, and the road to 80x50 in general, many questions remain. Richard Leigh—who drove the creation of our groundbreaking 90 by 50 report— shares a few of the key questions that will be addressed at this year's conference, It's Electrifying: Exploring NYC's Climate Plan to Electrify Buildings.

To delve more deeply into these questions and others, check out our recent interview with Leigh and join us at The Auditorium on October 4.

LIVING BETTER ELECTRICALLY (AGAIN)

Launched in the 50s, General Electric's "Medallion Homes" campaign encouraged families to "live better elecrtically" by replacing their home appliances with newer, electric equipment.

While New Yorkers should not necessarily expect a medallion, transitioning heat and hot water systems from fossil fuels to electricity could help us reach our emission goals. Learn more on our blog as we explore some of the key concepts behind this year’s conference.
