Video: Revitalizing Public Housing - NYCHA

At Modern All Over Again, our annual conference on October 2, we convened an exceptional array of industry experts to discuss how best to revitalize and retrofit midcentury commercial buildings, public housing, and energy infrastructure in New York City. For the first time, we will be sharing videos from those discussions over the coming weeks.

In today’s installment, watch Revitalizing Public Housing (Part 1) featuring Bomee Jung (VP of Energy & Sustainability, NYCHA). In her talk, Jung discusses the physical, financial and human challenges specific to NYCHA buildings, as well as the de Blasio administration's 10-year NextGen NYCHA plan to rebuild, expand and preserve public housing stock. NYCHA houses 400,000 New Yorkers in over 2,550 buildings, and will spend $2.5 billion dollars in capital work over the next five years.
