What is this training about?
Right-sized mechanical systems are crucial for complying with the energy code. Crushing the Code NYS: Residential Building Systems prepares building and design professionals in New York State to comply with the residential mechanical, hot water, and lighting requirements in the 2020 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCCNYS).
What will you learn?
By the end of this 1.5-hour training, participants will be able to:
- Explain compliance requirements related to right-sizing mechanical systems, along with the energy consequences of effective controls and setbacks.
- Describe how the energy code limits energy waste due to ventilation.
- Identify the mandatory provisions for service hot water systems in residential buildings.
- Navigate the requirements for code compliant electrical systems related to lighting, solar, and electric vehicles.
