Forward Now:
The Campaign for Urban Green
Support our work in this critical moment for climate action.

The start of this year has brought new and mounting challenges for our organization. At a time when the need to decarbonize buildings has never been greater, Urban Green faces dramatic budget shifts due to growing political uncertainty in Washington, D.C. Specifically, our record award to provide training and education to assist Local Law 97 compliance is caught in the indefinite federal funding freeze. Without urgent action, our ongoing work for a healthier, more resilient future is at risk.
Cities must continue leading the charge on climate progress—and Urban Green is at the forefront of that mission. But we can’t do it alone. To remain steadfast in our commitment and accelerate our work, we are launching Forward Now: The Campaign for Urban Green.
With a dollar-for-dollar match, Fiona and Eric Rudin have generously donated $125,000 to maintain our operations and staffing so we can continue our transformative work. Every dollar you give has double the impact. Please help us reach an additional $125,000 by Earth Day, April 22, 2025, with a tax-deductible donation of any size to one of our three categories:
In Summer 2025, we’ll be moving into our new home at 39 Broadway! This office will also house the Urban Green Training Center, a brand-new space where we will host our industry-leading classes and trainings. Make a capital donation to help sponsor our new Training Center and position your name and brand in front of thousands of building professionals who will shape New York’s sustainable future.

Donate to our Education Fund to support our wide-ranging training for building professionals. From our flagship GPRO offerings to our new heat pump curriculum for those looking to specify and install electrified systems, our training is key to accelerating energy efficiency and building electrification. Our education offerings are trusted across New York State and delivered throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Donate to our Research and Policy Fund to support smart, data-backed climate and energy policy. Our policy work is critical to implementing Local Law 97 in practical and effective ways, and we continue to advance city and state initiatives to accelerate energy efficiency—lowering consumer costs and saving energy in the face of growing demand. Known for our data-centered approach, our research fills market gaps and informs the best approach for policymaking.
A donation of $2,500 or more to the Education or Research & Policy Fund will give you visibility on some of our most-visited web pages: our Training & Education homepage, Education Portal, and Local Law 97 landing page.
